FAQ

Why do some pages fail during a scan?

A page can time out or fail to save its results (a slow server, a heavy page, a momentary glitch). Those pages are listed in the scan log and can be re-run with Retry failed pages.

Do I need to keep the tab open during a full-site scan?

Yes. The scan runs in your browser tab. Leaving the page cancels it; use Pause if you need to stop and continue later.

Why does another tool show a different number of issues?

Tools use different rule sets and group issues differently. AcceGuru uses axe-core and counts one rule failure as one issue. Your enabled standards and ignored rules also change the total.

Why doesn't "Issues Found" drop the moment I turn on fixers?

Fixers change your live site, but the dashboard reflects the last scan. Re-scan to see the new numbers.

Does scanning send my data anywhere?

No. Scanning runs entirely in your browser. AI alt text is the only feature that contacts an outside service - the AI provider you chose, with your own key.

Can it fix everything automatically?

No. Automated fixes handle common, well-defined problems. Some issues (like colour contrast choices or meaningful content order) need human judgement.

How many sites does a Pro licence cover?

Licensing options will be published on acce.guru when Pro becomes available.

How is Pro delivered?

Pro is a separate add-on distributed outside WordPress.org. Delivery and licensing details will be published on acce.guru when Pro becomes available.

Can I get a refund?

Refund terms will be published on acce.guru when Pro becomes available.

What happens if I do not renew Pro?

Renewal and licence-expiration behavior will be documented when Pro becomes available.

How do I get support?

Free users have community support. Pro support details will be published when the add-on becomes available.

Is AI alt text really free?

The scanner and AI alt text are part of the Free plugin. Alt text uses your own AI API key; provider pricing, free tiers, models, and rate limits may change.
